Sorry, we had some technical issues yesterday, so we’re celebrating a National Holiday a day late–it’s a good one though and I didn’t want you to miss it.

August 8 is National Happiness Happens Day. You may be like, yeah whatever, what’s so great about that? But this is an important one for living life–it’s not “Be happy” it’s “Happiness Happens”… do you get the difference? It means that things you will experience happiness today.

It means to ADMIT THAT YOU’RE HAPPY when those moments happen.

It means don’t lie and say something isn’t fun. It means, when the fun, happy moments happen–let yourself feel the happiness and joy. I don’t know why, but sometimes we don’t want to admit that we’re happy. God gives us those moments. Our world makes us think it’s okay to be miserable and not admit happiness happens, or that we have to think about it too much and almost ruin the happiness. Think about a baby–when something funny happens, they smile, they laugh. So let’s just be ready for happiness to hit us today, shall we?

But let those who trust in you be happy forever.
Protect and strengthen those who love your name.
12 Lord, when you bless good people,
you surround them with your love, like a large shield that protects them.

Psalm 5:11-12 (ERV)

Lord, Thank you for moments when happiness happens. Give me the courage to just be happy and not think about things too much. Amen.
