You may have noticed some ideas we repeat a lot on stripedpantalones–one of them is how big God is. Considering that He is the LORD Almighty, it makes sense that we talk about that often.

One thing that God is bigger than? Us. I mean, obviously, but He’s bigger than our flaws–one of those is doubt. Doubt is when you aren’t 100% sure of something. It’s normal to not understand God, or to question what He does in the world. It’s okay if you have moments when your faith in God seems small. But when those happen, you need to turn to him and talk to him–don’t ever turn your back on God. Some of the giants of the Bible questioned God–David, Peter, Thomas, Jonah, Elijah, and Moses all went through periods of challenge. When God told Moses he was needed to lead God’s people, how did he respond? With questions. But he trusted in God.

Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.”
11 But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?”
12 God answered, “I will be with you.

Exodus 3: 10-12 (NLT)

Dear Lord, Thank you for being big enough to handle my doubts and questions about you. Teach me your ways, and help me to learn to always come to you with my questions. Amen.
