May 15 is National Chocolate Chip Day… sounds good for breakfast, right? Mmmmm, chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk… I’m probably ruining breakfast for you.

Yesterday we talked about the five senses–taste is one of them. In Psalms, there’s a verse that says to “taste and see that the Lord, He is good” (Psalm 34:8, NIV). How can we taste God? Bible experts compare it to other verses where it says that we should hunger for knowledge of Christ, and hunger to know him. If you think about it, you first eat food, then when it’s in your mouth you taste it and find out if it’s good. We hunger for God, we read the Bible or pray to him, we taste and know he is good. It’s not the easiest thing to understand, so even if it doesn’t make total sense, just know that as you grow closer to God, you get more confidence in the fact that God is good, and you can trust his goodness. God is good, all the time, all the time, God is good. Can I get an amen?

Taste of His goodness; see how wonderful the Eternal truly is.
Anyone who puts trust in Him will be blessed and comforted.

Psalm 34:8 (VOICE)

Dear Lord, Thank you for your eternal goodness to me. Teach me to put my trust in you 100%. Praise to the Lord, you are good. Amen.
