That’s right–it’s May the Fourth, so there will be tons of Star Wars jokes all over today. Star Wars may not seem like a good topic for a devotion, but there are some good lessons. One is that the characters like Luke, Rey, Han–they all have to choose to do the right thing, even if it’s not the easy thing. Will you have the chance to stand up for someone today? Or maybe doing the right thing is even just having a positive attitude when everyone else is complaining? Look for a way to choose to do the right thing. And May the Fourth be with you.
17 Everything you do or say should be done to obey Jesus your Lord. And in all you do, give thanks to God the Father through Jesus.

Dear Lord, thank you for being my Lord. Give me a chance to do the right thing today, and to stand up for what’s right. Help me to see it, and give me the words or actions to respond in a way that honors You. Amen.
