Fun fact for the day: you know when people say something like ‘just give me a moment’ ? Did you know that ‘a moment’ was an actual measurement of time in medieval times (when they were still using sundials) before the 1300’s? One hour contained 40 moments, so a moment was approximately 90 seconds. I like that–I’m going to start using it–‘you can have a snack in 3 moments’.
Sometimes having a moment is a good thing–like maybe you’re eating a delicious chocolate chip cookie and it’s beyond words–you have a moment. Moments are precious–think of the best moments of your life–probably laughing with friends, maybe a trip with your family, or just hanging out with your dad at the park. Moments are what make life special. We have moments with God too, but we maybe don’t always see it that way. When life is good and you’re happy–it’s from God. When you see a great sunrise–it’s from God. That family trip when you had moments–yep, from God.
You are blessed, so very blessed, with all these moments from God. Your God dances with joy because of you. What an amazing thought.
Adonai your God is in your midst— a mighty Savior! He will delight over you with joy. He will quiet you with His love. He will dance for joy over you with singing.
