Fun fact for the day: did you know… that you are about 2 cm shorter at the end of the day than at the beginning? Yep, you’re taller in the morning. It has to do with gravity weighing down on you all day and part of your spine compresses. So when you try and get on that crazy ride at an amusement park and you may not meet the height on it–go to that ride first thing in the morning. Well, it may not work exactly like that.

But sometimes other things weigh you down. Are you ever hiding something that brings you down? Maybe you feel guilty about something? Maybe you’re hiding the fact that you’re sad about something? You have a secret you don’t want to tell your parents? Or maybe you said something mean to someone and wish you could take it back?

Your God is ready to listen–anytime. Remember that confessing to him is a daily practice you should do. We come to him and admit how we screwed up –tell him your secrets, your mean words, your pride. And God washes it all away. We start clean each time.

But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong things we have done.

1 John 1:9 (ERV)

Remove my sin and make me pure.[a] Wash me until I am whiter than snow!

Psalm 51:7 (ERV)

Dear Father in Heaven, Forgive me. I have been prideful and have looked down on other people, I have been selfish and have not thought of others first. Forgive me. Wash me whiter than snow. Amen.
