Okay, so today is National Backwards Day, but more importantly, it’s also National Hot Chocolate Day–yeah, let’s get to the good stuff. Is there anyone who does NOT like Hot Chocolate? Fun fact: did you know that Ancient Mayans first made some sort of chocolate drink around 2000 years ago? And the Aztecs were also drinking it in the year 1400 AD. Also, did you know that chocolate has antioxidants, which help fight some diseases, and it also helps you digest food after eating. So there’s more than what you would expect from chocolate.
There’s more than you would expect from Jesus too. Jesus wants us to look at the future, not what is just in our life right now.
17 We have small troubles for a while now, but these troubles are helping us gain an eternal glory. That eternal glory is much greater than our troubles. 18 So we think about what we cannot see, not what we see. What we see lasts only a short time, and what we cannot see will last forever.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (ERV)
Dear Jesus, help me to see what will last, not just think about what is going on right now. Amen.
