Have you ever gotten mad at someone for not keeping a promise? I know I have–I hate it when people don’t do what they say they will.

Two things: 1. I need to forgive and let it go. Not always an easy thing, but nobody is perfect and God tells us to forgive

2. God always keeps his promises. ALWAYS. You know in Harry Potter Book 7–Sirius says that “Always”, because he’s never stopped loving Harry’s mom. But with God it’s for eternity. He’s promised to love you for eternity. He’s promised to forgive you for whatever you do. He’s promised salvation and Heaven.

And God ALWAYS keeps his promises.

“The mountains may disappear, and the hills may become dust, but my faithful love will never leave you. I will make peace with you, and it will never end.” The Lord who loves you said this.

Isaiah 54:10 (ERV)

Dear Lord, Thank you for keeping your promises. Teach me to be better at forgiving others, and help me be a person of my word, so I can keep promises that I make to others. Amen.
