Today is National Play with Dad Day. Yep, just like it says, you need to make time to play with your dad. Well, maybe I should say your dad should make time to play with you. I hope you have a great and fun dad, who loves to play with you, but sometimes work and life can take up a lot of time. Today, maybe ask your dad if he can get some time–even just 10 minutes to go outside and play catch, or a quick game of Uno. You don’t need a ton of time to have fun.
Dads are so important–if you have a good dad, feel blessed. He has a big job–to serve the Lord and to raise you to love and serve God as well. Your father loves you and is always looking out for you, just like your Heavenly Father. Though your dad may fail sometimes, and he may disappoint you, God never will.
But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord
Joshua 24:15 (ERV)
Dear God, Thank you for my dad. Help me to learn from him, and see how he honors you in his life. Thank you. Amen.
