February 6, 2020 – Tricked You!

This week, an artist in Germany named Simon Weckert, pulled a wagon with 99 smartphones around the streets of Berlin. He had all 99 phones switched onto Google Maps, so wherever he walked, it showed up red for a traffic jam. We don’t really think about it, but people using their phones on the roads is how Google Maps tracks traffic, so it’s really people doing the data… Weckert said he wanted to make people think about how they trust technology without really thinking about it.
It is good to have trust in people without questioning them–hopefully you have people in your life like that–your parents, good friends, teachers, coaches. But there are people that don’t always act trust-worthy.
Two things: Be someone who is trust-worthy. And you can always put your trust in God without question. God is Truth and God is Faithful in his promises.
Depend on the Lord. Trust in him, and he will help you.
Psalm 37:5 (ERV)
The Lord is my strength and shield. I trusted him with all my heart. He helped me, so I am happy. I sing songs of praise to him.
Psalm 28:7 (ERV)
Thank you Jesus for being a God that I can trust completely, with my whole self. Thank you for people in my life that I can trust too. Give me wisdom on who to be a trustworthy person to others. Amen.
