Fun fact for the day: According to this website, the town of Yucatàn , Mexico, got its name because explorers from Spain asked locals “what is this place called” and they responded in their own language “I don’t understand you” which sounded like “Yucatàn” . .. but… according to this website, that’s baloney. Just because it’s on a website, doesn’t mean it’s always true. So it’s good to check your facts.

We live in a world where the truth is often hidden. People are not always truthful with each other, websites don’t always have the right facts–all sorts of craziness. There are a lot of people who don’t believe in the one truth–that God exists and that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No matter how crazy the rest of the world is, take a deep breath, and be still in the fact that the Lord is your God. He is the Truth.

Jesus said, “Don’t be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me. There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I would not tell you this if it were not true. I am going there to prepare a place for you… “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father too. But now you know the Father. You have seen him.”

John 14:1-2 & 6-7 (ERV)

Dear Lord, Help me to be strong in your Truth. Give me hope for today. Forgive me for losing faith sometimes. Amen.
