It’s National Puppy Day! Is there anyone who can resist a puppy? Fun facts about puppies: they are born blind and deaf, toothless, and sleep 15-20 hours a day, and according to studies, looking at photos of puppies can help you do your work. Apparently, looking at puppies makes people more careful about their tasks because puppy pictures make them more positive and focused. Sorry older dogs, it doesn’t work to look at you guys, just puppies.

I think we all need to look at cute puppy pictures this morning–being at home to do school can be a challenge. It can be hard to feel like doing your best. But even if you feel like what’s the point?, it’s important to try your best. Why? Well, the obvious one–to keep learning. We should all be learning something new every day, so maybe you can share what you learn with people at home? Besides that, we are told to respect authority. That means your teacher and your parents are trying to give you what they think is best for you. And of course, God tells us to continue to use our abilities to our best. God created us to work.

10 Every time you find work to do, do it the best you can.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 (ERV)

14 Do everything in love.

1 Corinthians 16:14 (ERV)

Dear Father in Heaven, Help me to have a good attitude about my work today. Let me be a light in my own house today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
