Today is International Women’s Day–worldwide, achievements of women are celebrated. Though it may seem weird to have a day like this, there are a lot of countries, a lot of jobs, a lot of ways that women are seen as not equal to men. Did you know–around the world women make 23% less than men for doing similar jobs? And that a lot of girls don’t get the chance to go to school? And in newspapers–news & information about women only happens a quarter of the amount of articles about men?

Sometimes we limit people without knowing we do it. The world does it all the time–you aren’t as important because you’re a girl, or because you’re young, or because you’re a different skin color. But God created us all equally, we just have a while to get there still.

Luckily for us, God loves us and gives us grace, all of us the same. We don’t have to earn it, it doesn’t matter where we live, or what we look like. Created equally.

Now, in Christ, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Greek, a slave or free, male or female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:28 (ERV)

Dear Father, thank you for making all your children equally loved. Give me that love for others too. Amen.
