Fun fact for the night: Bet you don’t know that some of the most well-known characters have full names? Like Barbie? Her full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts. The guy on the Monopoly game is officially called Rich Uncle Moneybags. And my favorite–how about Captain Crunch? Not his real name…he’s Horatio Magellan Crunch who was born on Crunch Island, which is in the Sea of Milk, and his ship’s name is the S.S. Guppy. Who knew?

God knows you, every little detail. He loves you and saved you through grace. That means that you do not have to be perfect, and you don’t have to figure out how to be a good Christian–he’ll give you what you need. Pray and ask him to help you be less selfish, ask him to make you more aware of other people around you. Ask God to work in you–nothing we can ever do will save us–it’s through Christ alone.

I mean that you have been saved by grace because you believed. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God. You are not saved by the things you have done, so there is nothing to boast about. 10 God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would spend our lives doing the good things he had already planned for us to do.

Ephesians 2:8-10 (ERV)

Dear Lord, Help me–make me notice other people more, so that I’m not so selfish. Help me be more patient and loving towards my family. Amen.
