By now, most kids are back into school, so here are a few fun facts about school (no really, they are interesting): There’s a school in the Philippines that is built out of recycled plastic bottles. Check out the video if you don’t believe me. In France, mealtime is part of the subjects–they learn about different foods, manners and behavior at meals. And in Columbia, there’s a school so hard to get to, the kids have to take a zipline to school or else they’d have to walk two hours… I haven’t quite figured out how they get home yet…
Sometimes it’s hard to want to listen to your teacher, and sometimes it’s hard to want to learn. But God tells us to obey authorities–so for during school, your teacher is the one who needs your respect and attention. God also tells us that whatever we do, to do it to our best ability and honor God. So, yes, that means putting a good effort into your schoolwork and homework.
Be a worker who has no reason to be ashamed of his work, one who applies the true teaching in the right way.

Dear Lord, Forgive me for not having a great attitude about school today, if I was selfish or disrespectful. Help me to be positive about work –whether around the house, or school, or at practice. Amen.
