Have you noticed a lot about climate change these days? It’s a huge problem around the world. In the news this week there have been –1. a large protest around the globe (4 million people) and 2. lots of wild fires worldwide which adds to the problem. In Indonesia this week, there are about 12,000 fires, some set on purpose to clear land, but it’s 3 times as bad as normal. Wildfires add carbon dioxide to the air, which is one thing adding to climate change.

Do you have anything around you that’s been affected? You may have had a hotter summer than normal. Or maybe a colder winter. Maybe you have a drought in your state. One problem in California is that the trees are weaker due to searching for water, so the roots are not as stable and they are not as strong.

God’s word is strong. God’s word is true. The roots of the Bible are deep and steady. God promised to be with you in anything that you do, but you have a power in that. You are his child and you can claim that power. Memorize his words so you won’t forget his promises to you. Don’t be afraid of failing or falling. God promises to be with you and his word is strong.

Don’t worry—I am with you.
Don’t be afraid—I am your God.
I will make you strong and help you.
I will support you with my right hand that brings victory…

I am the Lord your God,
    who holds your right hand.
And I tell you, ‘Don’t be afraid!
    I will help you.’

Isaiah 41:10 & 13 (ERV)

Dear Lord, I am your child. I choose to be your child. Help me to remember your word tomorrow and help me to remember that you make me powerful. Amen.
