Random Facts — July 19, 2020
Today we’re giving you some random facts, with no connection between them–ready?
- For every person in the world, there are 200 million insects. Ew.
- Every piece of plastic ever made still exists.
- During WW2, 2 doctors in Poland tricked the Nazis into thinking their city had a contagious disease outbreak, saving 8,000 people.
- The Statue of Liberty’s real name is Liberty Enlightening the World. True story.
- Chimpanzees can recognize each other from their butts, not just faces. We’re just gonna leave you with that one.
Even though these fun facts had no connection, make sure you stay connected–to God, to friends, to relatives. During COVID, you may have had to Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, call… lots of different ways to stay connected. They aren’t the same as talking in person though for sure.
How do you stay connected to God? Obvious answer–praying. And we mean praying all the time. A LOT. Get in the habit like you did with Zooms–if you need to schedule prayer times, do it. Besides that–read your Bible, share your faith, listen to praise songs, and get out in nature to connect with God there.
16 With Jesus as our high priest, we can feel free to come before God’s throne where there is grace. There we receive mercy and kindness to help us when we need it.
Hebrews 4:16 (ERV)
21 Keep yourselves safe in God’s love, as you wait for the Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy to give you eternal life.
Jude 1:21 (ERV)
Dear Jesus, keep me in your love. Forgive me for not praying as much as I should, and for not thinking about your goodness throughout the day. Thank you for your goodness, love and mercy. Amen.
