Today is National Relaxation Day. So, just relax… Some benefits of relaxing–it helps your heart stay healthy, it boosts your memory and helps you make decisions, and it protects you from depression.
Taking time to be still and relax is something that God wants us to do. When we get too busy with school, sports, music, church, we sometimes crowd out God. He tells us many times in the Bible to pause in our lives, find a quiet place, and be still before him.
I must calm down and turn to God; he is my only hope.
Psalm 62:5 (ERV)
Dear Lord, Give me moments to relax and to be still today. Help me to hear you during those moments, but let me just be still and quiet before you. Amen.
