You’ll have to ask your parents about this, but imagine a world without cell phones. Imagine a world without Siri or Alexa. Not that long ago, if you needed information, you had to look it up…at home–not wherever you were when you wanted the information. And to talk to someone? You had to call–not text, not message–from home…and the other person had to be at their phone at home at the same time. Crazy huh?
God is trying to message you, but you may not be ‘home’ to get the call. I don’t mean that God doesn’t know where you are or anything like that, he made us with free will, which means we can choose to listen to him or not. Some days we are more distracted and are not in the mood to hear him. But he’s always there, wanting to talk to us.
So the Lord is waiting to show his mercy to you. He wants to rise and comfort you. The Lord is the God who does the right thing, so he will bless everyone who waits for his help.
Isaiah 30:18 (ERV)
Dear Lord, Thank you for waiting for me and loving me. Forgive me for the times that I ignore you Lord. Amen.
