Fun fact for the day: You probably know that cheetahs are the fastest animal, but did you know that they can’t roar? They purr. And bonus fact–cheetahs only need to drink water once every 3-4 days. They are made perfectly for their environment.

The Bible uses water and being thirsty as a way to talk about how we need God’s word.

Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.[a] The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” 15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”

John 4:13-15 (ESV)

God gives us salvation and eternal life. Come to the fountain and drink of his grace and love.

Dear Lord, Let me drink of your goodness, thank you for being a Savior who grants us life. Amen.
