India is facing a serious water shortage–usually they get water from the monsoons, but the storms are late this year, and they haven’t gotten as much the last few years, so many people are struggling to get clean drinking water, possibly hundreds of millions of people are affected. The city of Chennai is especially hard hit, as people wait in line for six hours for water most days.

Clean water is something we take for granted, right?

This morning, the verse was about living water, and never going thirsty again. Water is used in the Bible often as a symbol, for salvation, for wisdom, for Jesus–many things.

As the deer pants for water, so I long for you, O God. I thirst for God, the living God.

Psalm 42:1-2 (TLB)

Come. And let everyone who hears these words say, “Come.” And let those who thirst come. All who desire to drink, let them take and drink freely from the water of life.

Revelation 22:17 (VOICE)

Drinking is believing. We are invited to drink, and receive. Grab a cup, and begin a true relationship with your God, your Father, your Savior.

Dear Lord, I am thirsty to know you. Give me your living water, and be with me during my life, besides me all the way. Amen.
