Not a big surprise, but today’s fun facts topic–Thanksgiving. It was first celebrated in 1621, but became a National Holiday in 1863. About 46 million turkeys are cooked every year, and 100,000 people call the turkey hotline every year for help cooking their turkey.
Today–just be thankful. Be thankful. For life, for family, for the fact that your parents make you clean your room, and be thankful that they don’t let you play video games all day long. Or let you eat too much junk. That’s right–the things you complain about sometimes–be thankful for them. Be thankful for people who are trying to show you how to be a good person, or who are tying to keep you healthy. That’s love. Be thankful.
Always give thanks for everything to our God and Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 5:20 (ERV)
Dear Lord, Thank you, thank you, thank you. For everything. Amen.
