April 5, 2020: Happy Memories
I want you to think of a really good day–I mean when everything was perfect, things went well, maybe it was a birthday or a family trip day. Or maybe it was just one of those days that were fun, with blue skies, lots of laughter, good food and people you love.
Think on those days right now. Today can be one–are you surrounded by people you love? Can you think of a way to make people smile and laugh today? Have anything to bake, grill, or stick in a crock pot?
Choose today to make it a good one. Be positive and look for the bright side of things today. Choose to not complain. Choose to not whine. Choose to not be a burden on your family. Lift them up instead. Go out of your way, do some extra thinking, extra work, and figure out a way to make it a memorable one today for the good reasons.
But always try to do what is good for each other and for all people. 16 Always be full of joy. 17 Never stop praying. 18 Whatever happens, always be thankful. This is how God wants you to live in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:15-18 (ERV)
Dear Lord, Help me to think of how to show my family love, joy, and laughter today. Give me the words to say. Forgive me for being complaining and selfish lately. Amen.
