April 6, 2020: Palm Fronds

Yesterday was Palm Sunday–did you even realize it? It’s hard to remember each day differently, but hopefully your family does something to make Sunday stand out, and worship God.
What is Palm Sunday? These guys explain it for you. It’s to celebrate Jesus entering Jerusalem the week before he’s crucified. The palm fronds–they stand for victory–which shows us Jesus’ ultimate victory over death.
“O death, where is your victory? Where is your power to hurt?”… 57 But we thank God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! 58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, stand strong. Don’t let anything change you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord. You know that your work in the Lord is never wasted.
1 Corinthians 15:55, 57-58 (ERV)
Dear Jesus–thank you for dying for me, thank you for defeating sin, death and Satan. Amen.
