March 2, 2020 – Think & Wonder

Today is National Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss Day. Dr. Seuss was born on March 2, 1904. Fun facts: he wrote 44 books for kids, it took a year to write the Cat in the Hat, and Green Eggs and Ham was written when a friend said he couldn’t write a book using only 50 words. He’s so popular with people because his books and words are just fun, full of messages like to be unique, and happy with who you are.
Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.
Dr. Seuss,
Today is good. Today can be fun. Tomorrow will be another one. Do you believe it? It kind of reminds me of a few Bible verses…
This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be happy today!
Psalm 118:24 (ERV)
Believe that today will be good. That doesn’t mean it’ll be perfect, but it means you can work through the problems that come up. Maybe it means you push through a rough patch, and stay grateful for the goodness of God.
Dear Lord, you made today beautiful, help me to see it and not be negative or selfish today. Amen.
