If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Superheroes are pretty popular these days with movies like Avengers, and it’s a common question to ask people. Most people would want the basic powers–flying, super speed, super strength, teleporting, reading minds or being invisible.

It’s kind of ironic that people want to be invisible–in reality, if you feel invisible, it doesn’t feel good. It’s good when people know we are around and care about us.

God sees us even when nobody else can. This means a few things: one, is that you are never alone or invisible–the God of the Universe has you on his radar, which is awesome. You are important to him. Second, God sees you all the time. So that does mean that he saw you sneak some candy from the cupboard, or when you said that mean thing to the girl at school. God knows when we sin. And it’s okay, He forgives us and doesn’t expect us to be perfect, but He does expect us to own up to it and confess it.

And when you draw close to God, God will draw close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and let your hearts be filled with God alone to make them pure and true to him.

James 4:8 (TLB)

Dear Lord, Forgive me of my sins that I did today. Help me to do better tomorrow. Thank you for always seeing me and loving me, and for forgiving me. Amen.
