Since we were talking about butterfly feet earlier, here’s a fun fact about human feet for today: Each foot has 26 bones in it, so the 52 bones total in your feet is about 25% of the bones in your whole body.
Sometimes you’ll hear the phrase “feet to walk the path”, maybe during prayer at church. In Psalm 23, there are a few verses that mention God leading us on a path. We know that God is leading us in life, and that he has a plan for us.
When people pray for “feet to walk the path”, it’s basically a way of praying for God to prepare us for whatever he has planned for our future. There will be times of joy and success in your life, and maybe you need humility and gratitude to go with them. There will be times of challenge and sorrow in your life, maybe you need the strength, courage and bravery to get through it. You don’t know now what your path is, but you can pray for God to prepare you for life.
He provides me rest in rich, green fields beside streams of refreshing water. He soothes my fears; 3 He makes me whole again, steering me off worn, hard paths to roads where truth and righteousness echo His name.
Psalm 23:2-3 (VOICE)
Dear Lord, I don’t know where you will take me in life, but I know you will be right beside me all the way. I know you have a plan and a purpose for me. Prepare my feet for the path ahead. Amen.
