Keep track of your garbage : June 17, 2020
Today is Global Garbage Man Day, to appreciate the men and women who keep our cities clean. We salute you garbagemen and women.
When you were younger, I would bet you played with a toy garbage truck. Or maybe you had a trash truck to play with. Kids are fascinated by trash, that’s for sure. And even now, you may not get quite as excited when the trash truck goes by, but think about if we didn’t have garbage men–wow, what a mess our cities would be.
Often, our words and our hearts can be traps for garbage. God knows our hearts, but how often do we fall into the trap of wanting to make people like us. Watch what you say.
29 When you talk, don’t say anything bad. But say the good things that people need—whatever will help them grow stronger. Then what you say will be a blessing to those who hear you.
Ephesians 4:29 (ERV)
Dear Lord, keep my mouth and heart free of garbage. Amen.
