Santa and Kangaroos

Christmas fun fact for the day: not really anything earth-shattering, but did you ever stop and think that in Australia, Christmas is in the middle of their summer? So kids are on summer break during Christmas, they probably go to the beach, Santa wears much cooler clothes, and their Christmas dinner may be a bbq with some lobster or fish. But for them, it’s probably weird to see our Santa with his fur coat and reindeer, especially since Santa sometimes uses kangaroos down under. Completely opposite, right?

Sometimes we take it for granted that everyone believes the same things as us, but in reality, it’s not true. Christmas is a time for us to celebrate Jesus’ birth, goodwill and peace to all, and our salvation. But not everyone believes that. So Christmas is also a time to pray for those around us who maybe don’t know the truth about God, who maybe celebrate Christmas for other reasons, and don’t know God.
