Some troubling news this week–Pakistan had an airline crash last month, so it’s been really looking into it’s airlines and the pilots. What did they find out? 30% of the Pakistani pilots have fake licenses… wow. That means 1 out of every 3 pilots doesn’t have a real license. Just…wow.

Do you pretend to be someone you’re not? You sure? What about when you pretend that you didn’t lie about something? Or when you kind of faked that you brushed your teeth? Or you called a ball out when it was really in? Or when you told you mom that you only played video games for 30 minutes, but it was longer?

Pretending is not good, but it’s really not good with God. Obviously, because he already knows, but for our side of it–we need to confess and own up to our sin. You aren’t perfect, God knows that. But He wants us to come to him and ask for forgiveness. Only when we have that closeness with our Lord and Savior is our relationship with him right. Love God enough to let him take your sin.

So give yourselves to God. Stand against the devil, and he will run away from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. You are sinners, so clean sin out of your lives… 10 Be humble before the Lord, and he will make you great.

James 4:7-8, 10 (ERV)

Dear Lord, Forgive me my many sins from today. Help me to be confident in your Love, so I can come to you and confess. Amen.
