Do you ever wake up and not want to go to school? Maybe you’re like this guy and don’t want to get out of bed? Do you ever just wake up kinda crabby and negative? Oh really? Never? If you always wake up excited for the day–good for you! That’s amazing. But some of us probably have days where we just wake up feeling like Alexander and think it’s going to be a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. And maybe we should move to Australia. If you’ve never read that book, check it out, it’s a classic.

Remember the quote from the other day? The Dr. Seuss one? When you wake up feeling down, sometimes a bit of perspective helps. Sure, you maybe forgot to do your homework, and maybe your mom forgot to get more of your favorite cereal… but in the big picture–is that something you should let ruin your whole day? Probably not.

I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has done for you.

Ephesians 1:16-17 (ERV)

Think about all that Christ is and all that he has done for you. Perspective.

Dear Jesus, thank you for becoming human, so that you can understand me 100%. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. Forgive me for being so negative about little things. Help me see the big picture. Amen.
