Say Sorry : August 25, 2020
Today is National “Kiss and Make Up Day”. It doesn’t actually mean you have to kiss someone, but it is a phrase to fix any problems you have with someone, especially someone you love. It means that today is a good day to forgive, or ask forgiveness, say you’re sorry and make things right.
13 Don’t be angry with each other, but forgive each other. If you feel someone has wronged you, forgive them. Forgive others because the Lord forgave you.Colossians 3:13 (ERV)
While this verse is pretty well-known, it’s something we forget too quickly. Who are we to stay mad or hold a grudge against people? God forgives us from EVERYTHING that we do. Shouldn’t you be so grateful and joyful about that? Shouldn’t you be quick to forgive? Of course we should, but continue to work at it. Find one thing to work on today.
Dear Jesus, thank you for dying for my sins. Thank you for forgiveness and mercy. Fill me with joy that overflows so I can give mercy and forgiveness to others. Amen.
