9-11. Today we remember the terrorist attack on New York City, which started at 8:46 am NY time in 2001. 2, 977 people died on 9-11 from these attacks, and many more were injured–the deadliest attack on US land, even more than Pearl Harbor.

I remember watching it on TV–I was getting ready for work and my husband called and told me to turn on the TV–I’m on the west coast so I saw the first tower collapse, at about 7am my time. It seemed like we were all seeing a movie–it didn’t seem real at all.

Today we remember those who died, and those who sacrificed their lives trying to help. There are days were evil is more obvious than the good, where Satan seems to win. But God is there, in the midst of hardship, even when it seems like he’s gone missing. Some days Satan takes a shot. But God will always defeat him. There is always hope–in the midst of trials, look for all the people stepping in and helping. In the days after 9-11, our country came together in unity. God was working in the middle of darkness.

Don’t worry—I am with you.
Don’t be afraid—I am your God.
I will make you strong and help you.
I will support you with my right hand that brings victory.

Isaiah 41:10 (ERV)
