Fun fact for the day: Did you know that when women are pregnant their brain shrinks? So maybe give your mom some slack every once in a while, huh? The change in brain actually makes it work better to understand a newborn baby’s needs. So, no, it doesn’t mean your mom got dumber, it affects the part of the brain to make it most ready to be a mom, and to understand you.

Once again, God is amazing. He doesn’t need this change in brain matter to understand your needs. But it doesn’t mean you get off the hook in talking to him. God commands us to pray. It may not make sense to talk to him and ask for help when he knows everything, but it’s an important part of being a Christian. Don’t forget to talk to him, and make sure you ask him to work in your heart. It’s not just asking for things like winning a game, but it’s more like changing your attitude to focus on the important things in life, and to focus on others. And the Holy Spirit can interpret for us–if you don’t even know what to pray for, just say praise you, forgive me, and thank you, and God knows what you need.
Also, the Spirit helps us. We are very weak, but the Spirit helps us with our weakness. We don’t know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself speaks to God for us. He begs God for us, speaking to him with feelings too deep for words.
Romans 8:26 (ERV)
Dear Lord, You are the Almighty God, Forgive me for being selfish today and for wishing I had what others did, Thank you for being my Savior. Give me what I need today Lord, even if I don’t know what that is. Amen.
