Monkey Problems — July 2, 2020

In the news, there’s a town in Thailand that has a lot of macaque monkeys, so many that they roam the city and people visit the town just to see all the monkeys. Usually tourists feed the monkeys, but with COVID, there haven’t been tourists, which also means… no food. Reports say that the monkeys are getting desperate and they have formed gangs, steal food from stores–they even took over a movie theatre for home base. People are actually afraid to walk down the street because of the monkeys–around 6,000 monkeys live in the city.
You may not have 6000 monkeys to worry about, but it’s easy to be a little afraid these days. Be strong in the Lord, He’s got your back. He’s looking out for you and loves you.
Don’t worry—I am with you. Don’t be afraid—I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will support you with my right hand that brings victory.
Isaiah 41:10 (ERV)
Dear Lord, forgive me for wondering why you let bad things happen, forgive me for losing faith a bit and being scared. Give me strength and courage to face the day. Amen.
