In the news, scientists in Australia have found a way to help fix the Great Barrier Reef coral. Much of the coral has died, called ‘bleaching’, but they’ve figured out how to bring it back. First they kind of hatch baby coral, then, using robots, they deliver baby coral to the bleached areas, and the hope is that the baby coral spreads and creates new life.

We have new life–God sent Jesus to give us new life. And then He sent the Holy Spirit to guide us. You have been saved. It’s kind of hard to even understand, right? Sometimes it’s easier not to think about it since it’s so hard to believe. It’s part of being human to wrestle with those ideas sometimes–not that you don’t have faith, but just some parts of God are just too big to even understand. And that’s okay.

But know this–you have been given a life in Christ. This world is for now, but your home is waiting for you in heaven, with the glory of the Father.

And just as Christ was raised from death by the wonderful power of the Father, so we can now live a new life.

Romans 6:4 (ERV)

1 Peter 1:3 (GNT)

Dear Father, Thank you for giving me a living hope and a new life. I’m sorry I don’t totally understand what that means, but I believe in you and I believe that you will give me wisdom as I grow. Amen.
